Thanks Regy, I've been wondering where to find acetate sheets! icon_biggrin.gif

Thanks for the pictorial Sarsi. I was taking a break from my housecleaning and came upon this thread. My break is taking longer than I had planned--lol but it's time well spent. Thanks again!

I really want to try this for a friend's shower cake this weekend, but I doubt I'll be able to get to an art or cake supply store in time. Is there anything else that can be used? Freezer paper doesn't seem like it would be sturdy enough.

Well, I used parchment paper and it worked! I'm sure acetate is sturdier, but this worked in a pinch! I got lots of compliments! Thanks!

Whoa, I hadn't been getting notifications I guess! Sorry guys!!! Yes, I've heard that Freezer paper will work in a pinch. I think that acetate would be easiest, but freezer paper will work!

Wow, I would've never guessed that parchment would work! Thanks for sharing your results with us chocomama!!! icon_smile.gif

Thanks for your great idea! I used it for my sons' senior recital cake, adding a musical "touch" to it. I just posted it but it flew off the home page. Here's the link:

Wow Jodie! Beautiful cake! How many transfer sheets did you have to use for the notes?

I only had 1. I had ordered them for a wedding cake I did in 2005 (the first cake I posted here!) and thought I had 2 left. With one transfer I came up a little short.......which is why there's a back of the cake!!!! icon_biggrin.gif
