I don't know who posted this idea but I thought it was a great one. I filled an 8" cake pan with cupcake liners, filled those with batter and baked. Here's the video I made showing this:

The finished pic:

When the customer came to pick it up she couldn't hardly believe they were cupcakes! I will definitely be doing more of these, can't wait to do it in the heart shaped pan!! Thanks to whoever posted that idea!

I just started doing cupcakes, this looks great. My question is do these pull apart easy?

Ah, I don't have an answer for that one yet, the lady who had them sent me a message telling me they were delicious, wonderful, etc, but not how easy they were to get apart icon_lol.gif
I actually need to write to her anyway and I'll ask and let you know icon_biggrin.gif

Actually, I sent that in quite a while ago, but I can't take credit for the original idea.. I learned it from another decorator years ago. But the answer to your question, is yes, they are very easy to pull apart. To me, the best part was that they are so much easier to ice with the tops all baked together; no holes to fill in like when you use regular cupcakes. I'm glad you found the idea useful.. icon_biggrin.gif
