I have e-mailed the company twice that manufactures Sweetex Z. The new zero trans fat hi ratio shortening. I would like to try it. But they will not answer me back. Do you know how I could order some? Has anyone tried it?

I actually ordered mine about a month ago from thebakerskitchen.com. You can buy in 4 pound buckets or the big 80 pound block. The price is very reasonable and so is shipping. After trying sweetex, I will never ever go back to crisco again. HTH!!!

Did you buy regular Sweetex or trans fat free Sweetex Z? Sweetex Z is a new product.

AI tried it tonight with their websites suggested buttercream recipe. Worst, grittiest buttercream I've ever tasted in my entire life. Store bought can frosting is ten times better and I don't like that stuff at all! =( Since I have 3 pounds left I'll try something else and see how it goes.
