Hello -
I need some help! I live in GA, and my poor dad didn't get a birthday cake this year. There are no delivery places around him, I have called a number of bakeries, and restaurants in the area. BUT NO ONE WILL DELIVER! I feel awful, he had a crappy birthday. Would someone be able to bring him a simple yellow cake with chocolate icing? A bag of Fritos and a bottle of RC Cola?
It's really just the simple things in life my dad loves, and looks forward to. I am able to send you payment through paypal immediately, and the sooner the better. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!
why not have someone who bakes cookies send a cookie bouquet, or better yet if you were to do this I'm sure he would love it.
(just a suggestion)

He's in NJ and she's in GA. His birthday is today and she wants it delivered today.
A simple yellow cake is much quicker than a cookie bouquet.
I hope you find someone.
Is there anyone else you know in NJ who could possibly pick up the order and deliver it to him if you order over the phone from a local bakery?
I am baking him his favorite brownies and cookies tonight. I had already sent him a gift card to DQ, and a couple harley shirts. But you know, I was talking to him last night, and I asked how his birthday cake was, and he said- didn't have one. his wife didn't even think to bake him a cake, make him a special dinner - Nothing. I just felt bad, cause I always make a big deal of birhtdays, and would've made sure that he had a nice one if I were there. I'm just so pissed at her, and sad for him. Grrr.
His wife didn't make him a cake??? Let me guess, the evil step mom????
I wish I could help you but I am too far. Best of luck searching!
Girl! If I lived anywhere near NJ I would so do this for you!! I know how he feels - I NEVER get a birthday cake! This year I had to buy a slice from the bakery at the grocery store - and yea - it sucked!
I really hope someone can do this for you!!
So here's a bump - wish I could do more!
Bump! SO sorry to hear this, wish there was something I could do!
I feel bad when my parents have to forgo things like that bc sometimes money is tight and they just dont want to spend it on that for themselves. Our parents take such good care of us I feel bad when I cant take care of them.
A big happy birthday to your dad!!!

Oh, I wish I had seen this earlier. My husband is coming home from work early (actually didn't go into the office which is in NYC because he had a meeting in NJ) today and then we're taking my minivan into the shop since it's been making funny noises and needs an oil change as well.
West Milford is only an hour away from me, but the round trip is what will put me over now. I'm so sorry. I wish I could help you out, but we've got to take care of my car since we'll be using it this weekend and next week for trips down to the Jersey shore and PA.
Hopefully someone else will be able to do this for you and your dad. Good luck.
Not Evil - Just thoughtless. Careless. Useless.

I wish I could help you out, but I'm located in GA, too! I do ship out cupcakes, cookies, chocolates, etc, but he wouldn't get it until Friday due to the USPS. Sorry this had to happen to such a great guy!
I never get a cake either, but I seriously do not want one! I spend my life baking, creating, and decorating cakes (and of course taste-testing them), but to eat an actual slice of cake? Heaven forbid, no-no!!!
Thank you everyone for your replies! I baked him a cake last night, Carefully wrapped it in parchment paper, saran wrap, tupperware, and boxed it up. my husband is fed-exing it this morning. He has no idea it's coming. Next year, Ill just make a point of getting him a cake early.
Thanks again!
