Hello- Need some help. I got a call from a woman that wants a fall themed wedding cake and, as it's her mothers 70th birthday, wants to incorporate a birthday cake as well. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated. Not sure what to tell her. I think she is thinking one cake but I'm thinking two. Thanks in advance!

You could definitely do the wedding cake and make a separate 6" birthday cake for her mom. I just did this for a wedding this past weekend.

If she really wanted it all in one cake, hmm I might have to think about that one.

Oh wait, could you make one layer (maybe the bottom) look like a gift box and use ribbon the colors she wants and make the the other tiers look like a wedding cake?

You could make the cake fall colors with leaves. Have the Bride and Groom's names on the cake or their initials. Then have the Mom's name on the top teir with 70.

That is if you are not able to talk her into two cakes. Two cakes would be the way to go. I would think to give both ocations the proper respect.
