stacking system... used when assembling a tiered cake

or

.... the order in which you eat the various parts of a cake during the making process - quality control purposes only

1. cake cutoffs
2. filling
3. cake cuttoff with filling
4. butter cream
5. cake cutoff with filling and buttercream

or am I the only quality control freak icon_redface.gificon_lol.gificon_redface.gif

A cake stand could also be a decorator "taking a stand" against all those "cake dummies" who want a cake for next to nothing.

Cake balls just came to mind for me, too. I was thinking:

Cake balls: crumbled cake combined with buttercream icing and rolled into balls, covered with chocolate or candy melts.
Cake balls: getting up the nerve to try a topsy turvy or wedding cake for the first time.

Ok, I had to go back over the thread to see what was used already.
The only thing I can think of at the moment is Cake Release.
Cake Release - the spray you use so that your cakes dont stick to the pans.
Cake Release - the feeling you get after you accomplished the most wonderful looking cake you've ever done and now have to give it away and dont want to!!! (its also the satisfaction you get after using your cake skills.)
