I need help.

I love the way fondant looks on cookies and I've managed to make mmf that taste great. My problem though is, I don't know how to work with it. How do you make straight cut lines, raised images( ivy, scroll etc), small details and such.

What tools should I have? I have always used piped icing so I do not want to invest a ton of money till I really get the hang of things but I'm willing to get some important tools if there are any.

Where should I start?

Thanks for your help.

For cutting, use a pizza cutter or sharp knife. Just be careful not to cut the underlying surface. For raised details like ivy, you can use an impression mat or special rolling pin that has the design on it.
