I work out of my home (with a licensed kitchen in case anyone is wondering icon_biggrin.gif ) and am not sure if I should meet this person somewhere or have them come here. She offered to come here so I don't have to tote anything there, but all I would have is the samples. Do I need to have a portfolio for her to look at? She did say she already has what she wants, so what else do I need to have? Do I sound like enough of an idiot icon_wink.gif I would really like to just give them to her and let her try them at home, but is that really unprofessional? Someone help me out here!

Thanks so much!

Danielle

It is ok for her to come to you, provided your house is presentable and you don't have pets. (they somtimes freak about the little things)

I meet most of my customers in a snack area in the local grocery store. They don't really care that you are serving 'food' since you can buy other foods.

Take a few pictures of your best work, especially any wedding cakes, so she can see that you are capable of creating her dream cake. Also, be sure to take a contract.
