I have an inquiry for a birthday party where the theme is "Glow in the dark" and they are looking for neon colors.

Are there colors out there that are already "neon"? Or do I have to figure out how to get bright "glow in the dark" colors?

I'm looking to get an idea before we meet so I can kinda sound like I know what I'm talking about! icon_redface.gif

Betty Crocker has neon colored jels that I use all the time and they work great. They are in the grocery store cake aisle with the icing/candles/squeeze tube icing, etc. I think there's purple, green, yellow and pink in a box. Hope this helps!

I vote for the Americolor eletric colors too, minus the purple. I think the purple is an ugly color.

Awesome!! Thanks so much, gang! I really want to be able to tell her "No problem!" on what she wants!

My 15 year old has also suggested those glow-in-the-dark necklaces to lay around the base of the cake as a border or some kind of decor.

Michaels has some of those that come in a tube for a dollar. I would be careful with them though, if someone breaks one, it will stain everything it touches and you wouldn't want the actual liquids on the cake.

If you can't get the Americolors, Wilton's Rose, Leaf green and Lemon yellow are pretty bright too.

That's what daughter also told me ... she said "we can't cut them to fit the cake or the goop will all ooze out ... whoa! icon_surprised.gif wouldn't THAT look cool!" icon_lol.gif

ha ha my daughter actually bit one once and I was stressing out so bad but the pediatrician said that they are not toxic...so was relieved! Her whole mouth was glowing. But you still woudn't want anyone else to eat them icon_wink.gif
