Virtual Classrooms For Cc Members

Hi all--
Have you ever asked, "Hey how'd they do that?" Or looked at the photo demonstrations only to realize that you can't quite visualize how they got from step 4 to 7? Well, Adobe connect pro may help us alleviate those issues making our desserts even more spectacular.
Adobe connect pro has made it possible to make web conferencing and online classrooms available to anyone anytime!
I really think it could be a cool and innovative way for cc members to share their techniques during live demonstrations. You can ask questions during the demo and it can be recorded and viewed by cc members later if they could not make the demo during the live time.
Here is a link with some info. Enjoy and let me know what you think. PS, there is a cost associated with this but it may not be much if lots of people chip in.

I would definately be interested in attending an online class! With all the talent on this site I can only imagine the possibilities!
Great idea!
I'm in, but how would we pay? Do we deposit $$ into a PayPal account? Does everyone watch it or only the people that pay? Sorry for all the ?'s, I just wonder how it'll work
I'd like more info. on this. Whatever the cost it would have to be cheaper than a flight, gas, hotel and food. But mostly GAS!
Great concept but my computer is no where near the kitchen. I could sit in on classes but would not be able to share.
I'm sorry for the delay in my responses.
As far as payment goes there are several options. However, for purposes of this website I think the pay per minute option would be the most feasible.
The pay per minute option would allow up to 500 participants. The price is .32 cents per minute. Making a 1 hour session only about $19.20. And if the CC site owners (Jackie & Heath) wanted to host the meeting it would be a great way to raise money for the site outside of the regular donations if they make the price like $25.50.
Two possible concerns/complications could be convincing one of our more skilled decorators to give a live demo and making sure everyone participating had the right hardware and computer capabilties.
If we had one successful trial, I believe the idea would catch on and enhance all our skills and networking power.

There is also an annual subscription, but is so expensive they didn't put the price on the website.

Well, the only reason you would need the computer to be in the kitchen is if you were giving a live demo. If not, you could just watch the demo live on line and chime in with questions during that time.
I will admit, that there are a few logistics that would have to be considered to make it successful and practical for our needs, but we can all work together on it to make it better.

Only the people who pay for the demo will be allowed in the classroom.
I'm definitely in! As others have stated, this would be a dream come true. I don't care what it cost. The knowledge would be invaluable.
Okie Dokie,
So which one of the Top Dog's can we convince to give a class online???? hmmmmmm, Anyone of them I would sign up for!!!!!!!
Annual suscription? what's that about? I would LOVE to pay for online classes..kind of like cake camp...lol Please keep me updated..
I'm soooooooooo in!!! I would love this and easily pay the 25.50 but question, for that price are you able to watch it again and again and again...?

In some cases yes. However, it depends on the service purchased. I plan to give you all a more info later this week.
Would the price be the same for a recorded demo? I love this idea as classes are non-existent around here. But, I'm in Europe, so I would most likely be watching recordings instead of live demos.
I love this idea. How do we keep up with this?? To be sure we know what is going on (if it's gonna happen, what the class will be and the exact cost)??
