There are some REALLY good cakes on here for the Hannah Montana guitar. I am doing one for a friends daughter also - go under the search and just put in hannah montana and you will see them all.

Also, I went to Wal-Mart and got some Hannah Montana party napkins ($1.49) so that I could have the "hannah montana" logo and her "scroll work" to copy.

My daughter is only 2, so I don't know anything about Hannah either - this was the first place that I came and the cakes in the gallery are WONDERFUL!!

Thanks Janel, when i searched last night there were only 2 HM cakes that came up!! must have either spelled it wrong or the search was going haywire!!!

For anyone else who reads this who has a HM fan, does she have one specific Guitar? I saw multiple ones on the guitar search but wasn't sure if she plays w/ a specific special one???

TIA! again! LOL

I actually have 2 that I have done on my website. One of them was done in blue as it was done for a little boy so I did a blue silver combo! Sorry, I haven't uploaded on CC yet!

Here's one I did a while back, using the Wilton guitar pan..if I had known then what I know now, I would have used spaghetti noodles for the strings. But at least I know to do that now...

The basic thing to do is to use some flowers and swirls and put her name or initials on the cake, and use blue, purple, pink combos or color schemes....

THanks! and no I used two 12x18" pans stacked and cut.. I drew out the guitar shape on a piece of cardboard then used that as a template to cut the cake..

Anyone care to share what they would charge for the guitar cake carved from the 12x18 pan? I'm clueless. I usually just do small and simple...

Thanks

I know that you've already made your cake but maybe it will help someone else. I made this cake so that it would look like HM's acoustic guitar. Found the pic on HM site. Time got the better of me and I had trouble with the strings but they loved the cake none the less and I have gotten several orders from this party since then. It was my first fondant cake.

Would you mind to share how you did the strings and the neck of the guitar? I have to make a bass guitar for my FIL for next Friday and I am currently researching how in the world to do it.

Thanks!

I used thin foamcore board and wrapped it with chocolate MMF. The top of the guitar is covered with the blue MMF. I used elastic metallic colored string and made the knobs out of fondant. I ran out of time and was unable to paint the knobs with the metallic luster dust. The cake was large and to support the guitar neck, I made pillars of fondant to provide more support close to the guitar itself and at the top of the neck of the guitar and covered them with fondant flowers. I had to glue more foamcore board to extend the cake base and where the two parts were glued, I added the fondant daises to cover the line. HTH
