CC Members should not flag them-we might end up needing them.
So, I can say this now that they were nasty. Is comforability a real word?
And, I bet the karma rant came about because they were just jealous of Cakepro's site.
i think they are reading this and everytime we post one of the websites they think no one can find they erase them
Hey Roxxxy-will you email those me? I'll send it to you in PM.
i sure will
Well, on her little ad she's still talking about her "famous tortilla soup". Wonder if she gets it from another establishment and calls it her own?
I couldn't get over her little statement earlier in this thread. She's got a lot of nerve.
I have a feeling it was John, not Maria, who posted that. His emails to me had the same, accusatory tone.
Did anyone catch it when he said "thanks for the compiling evidence" instead of "thanks for the compelling evidence"?
Summer I need to run to the grocery store Ill email those when I get back
....I need indrediants for MY "famous tortilla soup" jk
Mmmm. Can I come over for dinner? We can eat in the comfortability of your kitchen.
I don't know if any of you know this, but it cost about 25-50 dollars and no lawyers to take someone to small claims court. You can get up t0 5,000 I believe. Now you could all go in on one big lawsuit and that would take more money, but you get more money.

yes. my kitchen has awesome comfortablility

OMG I find it quite funny when the accused thief feels like they have been wronged. LOLOL. I know this isn't a funny situation. I just find it quite hilarious that MTJC can be offended.
Mike
I've had my joke for the day.
I'm shaking in my boots - well, if I was wearing them.
This is why long ago I took all my personal information off here because of nut cases like this.
yes they can ban her and I hope they do. She did not have good intentions from jump.
Now if they banned people like this where would we get a good laugh from?
On a lighter note- Judge Judy anyone?
Yea, here. Judge Judy says if you put your pictures on the internet (non-copy right) that they are out there for the world to use. If you don't want them used then don't put them on the inter-net.
I Love Her
Yaya-Another member PMed me and told me she reported her last week. She checked in with the McKinney Health Department this morning, and was told they were shut down yesterday.
Thank you for that link!
Mike-great come back. Filled with puss, so true!
I have to honestly say, no matter what anyone here said to me it wouldn't be enough to turn them in.
What she did is wrong, maybe she knew, maybe she didn't. Her reply is amusing. But, to turn someone in - no.
Let's not forget Karma

Good catch. You have to give them credit to have the time to look all of us up to report us. Maybe that's why she didn't have time to make and post her own pictures.
Hey Janette
I don't want you to post by yourself. lol
I promise I was not the one who turned them in. That wasn't what I was interested in. I only wanted the photos down-they can make cakes and I can make cakes, and everyone would be happy. My only interest was that they not steal from others, but depend on their own work. If they work out of their home, it's not really my business.
She obviously pissed off someone else, who decided to turn her in, which is out of my hands. But I think that is the main source of their anger, is that someone reported them.

Hello Pot- Meet Kettle I'm sorry you guys are dealing with this... One thing I can't figure out though... Why is she talking about karma when SHE is the one who stole pictures, and then RE-POSTED them

LOL.
Wow....that's right- because people want you to *gasp* take THEIR COPYRIGHTED images down, you're gonna throw back and try to turn people in that you don't even KNOW if they're selling or not.....
I'm seriously thinking this keeps getting better......
Good luck to all you big meanies that wanted them to take your pictures down.....lol.
Heath, shouldn't this person have been banned by now?
This is exactly like a person doing a Home Invasion trying to rob you, then trips and falls down your stairs and sues you for breaking their leg. Ha ha ha ha ha...This is friggen hilarious.
Wow I am so sorry all this is happening to such great cake decorators. We use this site to share tips and inspire. Like I said in the 1st thread I am so saddened and my heart is heavy. I was doing cookies for my daughters birthday and got on to see if I could get ideas for a mermaid cookie and saw the post thought I would see how it worked out wow I did not expect this I will keep praying and hope it will work its way out.

Here is the direct link...
Roxxxy is right...they are all Wilton pics. And she says they are HER cakes. Read the description of her business...this is where she says she makes cakes and food. When you click on the website link (freewebs) it's not there though.
This has really been interesting. Wonder what Wilton would think if they saw this web link...hmmmm.
You know, that is where you may get her...Wilton is a big company and I think they do have some sort of copyright on their stuff. Has anyone contacted Wilton? She DOES say its her stuff!!!

Here are a few pictures of my cakes I have more I could send via e-mail

They call my "Environmental health department" all day long...for one thing, we all fall under the Dept of Agriculture and another thing, My kitchen is completely legal...my business is registered with my state and county and I pay my taxes. SO threaten away!!
(PS I also make my own soup)
I was googling her site and found where she had posted a blurb and some pictures on Forth Worth Weekly website. I wonder if the pictures she posted are actually her cakes?
The link is the following with http:// in front but do not put www.
fortworth.fwweekly.com/MiscForSale/more_than_just_cakes_/classifieds/ViewAd?oid=1998235
Then, I also found another listing with another wedding cake picture:
www.decidio.com/local-businesses/v-40-bakeries/texas/Mckinney/more-than-just-cakes-71375.html
SO is everyone going to post a bad "review"?
Hmmh, you know Loriemoms, I just checked that secondary site and there is one wonerful reveiw. The review contains errors in spelling and in grammar similiar to the previous glowing reveiws she wrote herself on her "guestbook" before it went the way of the dodo. There is one questioning why Wilton cakes were on her website and what happened to said website and two others that talk about terrible cakes and cakes that did not look like the pictures.
They should have posted "knock off designer cakes!"

I am also curious, since Maria has turned over a new leaf and is going legit and is going to sic the Health Dept on everyone, is she going to add herself to that list and turn herself in as well?
LOL You hit the nail on the head, Ya Ya!
Thank you for posting this thread Noelle!!
A question that I have after reading the entire thread:
If you have a website for friends, perspective customers, etc. do you still have to worry about your cake photos being stolen? I don't have a web page but was seriously thinking about making one because people keep asking me if I have one so they can look at my cakes.
This whole issue is very disturbing to me as it is with others here. It does make you think about posting cake pictures to share ideas, etc. with others. I never thought about someone 'stealing' a cake photo and claiming it was their own creation.
Thank you to the member that posted the watermarking page!
If the images are on the web.. there's always a chance.. but if you watermark them it makes them less tempting to take. I use uMark Lite to watermark my images.. it's free and works great.

It's not really a website, but if you are just looking to share your pictures, you can download Picasa, Google's photo program, https://www.picasaweb.google.com and create an online album set to Private/Invitation Only. That way the only people who can access it are those you allow. You just need the email address for the people you are inviting. I think Flikr has a private option too.
