I'm glad you all liked it! I went crazy over them when I first saw them. I love the blog too!
I attempted the cupcake pops this weekend, and a little time consuming, but not difficult, they turned out cute up until the point where I had to dip them in the chocolate for the bottom "cupcake" part.
Make sure that 1. they are very well chilled, they get soft easy, and 2. that your chocolate is very thin. I didn't use any parafin wax, and the chocolate was so thick you couldn't see the ridges the cookie cutter made.
Once I got that straighted out, the tops went much better. The instructions were great, but you always learn more when you try
Good luck when you try them ladies, they do taste wonderful
I loved these!! They were fun to make. a little time consuming but worth it. I did try using the candy melts for the tops and I found it to be too think and the cake ball would break in half. I think white chocolate-bark works much better. They are addicting to eat too!
I have a picture in my photos.
These mini cupcakes are wonderful. They have given me a lot of ideas. Thanks for sharing.
I must do this as a test with the members at my church. We have Wed. night dinners - great "feed" back.
THANK YOU!
i saw them too today n thought of posting it here.... its such a gr8 idea! cant wait to try it....
I make these alot when we have a party or gathering to go to and they are always a hit. Although I have a hard time with the stick and it staying in so I usually dont do the stick and just make them like little truffles or candies. My favorite is to crush up nutterbutter sandwich cookies and coat them with the chocolate...yummy!
OOOOHH! Thank you so much for sharing! I will have to try these out for back to school goodies.
I'm glad you all liked them! I thought they were so cute, but I haven't tried to make them yet. Hopefully I'll try them soon.
My first attempt, pic in my photos. I think I may have put too much icing in the cake crumbs because it was really sticky and somewhat difficult to manage. Keeping it cold helps for sure! I used the chocolate bark from Kroger and felt that it set up quickly.
Best of luck in your tries...it will only get easier...and the color combinations are endless!
