I don't know where, but I read on another site that you can put 14" or larger round pans in you regular kitchen oven and I have never tried to find out until recenlty. I'm starting to get into wedding cakes and I need to be able to use 14 and 16" pans in my oven. Does anyone have any problems using the larger pans in your regular kitchen oven???? My boards fit, so why not the pan??? So before I go and buy pans, can I get some advice????icon_redface.gificon_redface.gificon_redface.gif

I can get 14" and 16" in my oven, but anything larger, won't work ... if I have to do larger than a 16", I'd have to use the half round pans and put them together to make a larger cake..

If a board that is 16", either square or round fit into your oven with no problems, then the pans should fit also. Hope this helps icon_smile.gif

I can go up to 14" round in my oven. I have the square set that has the 16" square in it. I have used it but I have to flip over the "cleaning" lock on the oven to get the door closed. YIKES. I have a standard sized oven.

Before you take off all the wrapping, make sure it will fit.

i can use a 14 round, 15 tops. Anything bigger and i have to use the 1/2 pans. I can do a 12x18 because the oven is wider then it is deep. I have 1/2 pans for 16,18and 20 they will all fit in this oven where as in my old oven they wouldn't.

I can do up to a 14" pan as well. However, I have baked 16 and 18" cakes in my oven too. I just have to leave the door cracked open and turn the pans a quarter turn every 15 to 20 minutes. It takes much longer to bake (and probably isn't real safe icon_rolleyes.gif ), but they've always turned out just fine so far.

ntertayneme, I don't mean to sound like a dumb-dumb, but when you say half round pan, I don't think I have ever seen a half round pan, does it just look like half of a round pan?
