I'm adding a banana split cake and can't decide whether to marble three flavors or just do three alternating tortes of banana, cherry and chocolate cakes. What is the popular opinion?

"Banana Split ~ ......... banana, cherry, and chocolate cakes filled with chocolate fudge, banana crème, & cherry fillings."

TIA!

i would say make both and taste test. I would think the marble would be better, although good color effect with the tortes.

That sounds so yummy! I would think alternating the flavors would work. That way you get equal amounts of goodness icon_smile.gif

My first instinct was that you should do a layer of each. But then I thought about it, and if you want all the flavors in each bite, it should be swirled. Otherwise people are going to taste banana cake, cherry cake, and chocolate cake, not banana split cake. Does that make sense?

I do think the separate flavors would make the prettiest slice of cake, though.
