Some people here were having trouble with their Daisies in Royal Icing.
I added another video to my Youtube collections on how to do Daisies in Royal Icing. This ones are simple ones..not like the Wilton ones that are done in 2 motions. Just one motion.. for those who have trouble with them.
I even like them more than the other ones.
Hope you enjoy...

I'm going to check them out right now, but wanted to thank you first b/c you are always so helpful to everyone. I love your other videos and appreciate you so much!
You are proof that angels truely do walk the earth!
Thank for the help. I had such trouble with these in the Wilton class.
I'm a bit dyslexic with left/right and up/down so being able to watch this is very helpful.
Perfect timing! I am just getting ready to sit down and make a bunch of royal icing daisies for my daughter's 1st birthday cake! I haven't really had any trouble with them, but I always like to learn new techniques to make things faster or easier. Thanks!!!!! Can't wait to watch the video!!!!
Thank you so much /edna, that video helps a lot. Now if I could just master the rose bud I'd have it made.
How do you work with those nails?! Everytime I let mine grow, I end up sticking them into my icing. Man you are good!

I just watched your video. Thank you so much. I tried making royal icing daisies a couple months ago and they didn't turn out so well. I'll have to use the pattern and your advice next time.
BTW....WOW you are beautiful!
Those seem a little different than the ones I learned before. I think I like the look of them a lot better. I can't wait to try

I usually work with gloves and my hair picked up...My nails never bother me..my hair does!.. But heck, I am a girl at the end of the day!.
Even stinking like buttercream, I wanna look decent!..

This are not like the ones they teach in the Wilton Courses.. Wilton use to long strokes to make theirs...This are simplified. And I do like them better too!

Another great video Edna... thanks for sharing.. btw... loved that latest cake you posted.. gorgeous draping
There were so many students who were getting frustrated doing them the Wilton way....they would completely avoid them. After class was over, I shared with them to make daisies this way....I think they have a slight "flower power"...60's/70's look to 'em and I prefer them. The students were ever so grateful. The Wilton way has a tendency to allow icing build up toward the center...IMHO and it takes practice...more practice than is allowed for them in course II. it's actually the same stroke as the Wilton way just with the tip turned with the narrow end outward... when you are first starting to make them...it's difficult to keep it from building up in the center.
Thank you for sharing your video! I don't feel so alone now...
The video is great! That's actually how I learned to do mine in the Wilton class I attended. Maybe my instructor didn't follow the Wilton method?! Who knows! I wanted to do some bigger ones too. What size flower nails do you use?
Hey Edna! You've joined my list of favorite CC'ers. I'm always watching for your posts. You are wonderful for sharing, so talented, your cakes are beautiful and so are you!

I miss ya Laura!.. Thanks so much!..
All4cake.. I do teach the Wilton ones..but I teach these too. The Wilton ones are more complicated and tend not too look like Daisies if not done right. There is nothing worst that somebody frustrated with something that they really want to learn!
