Has anyone done a pull apart cupcake cake in the shape of the number 70? I'm stumped on a cake due this weekend -I have full control over what I do, so I thought this may work, but I have never even done a cupcake pull apart cake. Should I just scratch this idea?

No I wouldn't give up. Here's my idea. I would take a cake board and wrap it with pretty paper and you could either draw the # 70 straight on there or just position your cupcakes until they look like the # 70. Then put a dab of buttercream down under each cuppie so they don't slide and ice like it was a cake shaped liked 70. Hope this makes sense. I can see it in my head but I've never done one either. Maybe a pro can tell you. HTH icon_biggrin.gif

Thanks! It really was easy because I worked on Charlie and Lola way ahead. Mia did love it!

could also just pack them together so that when iced they look like a standard sheet cake and then deco on top any ol' way you want.

there's templates in the template gallery to help w/ this -- choose the one that has circles to match the size of your cupcakes.
