do you know if we'll get a schedule of the demos we signed up for or do we have to make sure we know what demos we signed up for and time, date? icon_redface.gif

I printed the schedule right after I registered. If you didn't, maybe you can send ICES an email and they'll send it to you by email.

This is my first convention, and am I ever excited. It is my understanding that the information will be handed out when we go to the registration desk at the hotel. There will be a tote bag, a name badge, breakfast and banquet tickets, etc, handed out there. But, be sure to print out and take your confirmation of demos/classes - it has a registration number, an invoice number, and a payment transaction number near the top. I do not know if our individual "schedules" will be in the packet or not. Only the Disney hotel reservation confirmations were mailed.

I am not going this year. icon_sad.gif Pout pout, but I have been to a few of them. You will go to the floor(s) ices is on and you will go to their registration desk. You will get a name badget with your 'tickets' for everything. You will sign that you got it. In the Tickets you will find one for your breakfast, banquet (thought you exchange this one for the actually dinner ticket), and your demo's. It will also have your ticket for your tote bag with goodies and if you get the show pin.

There will be a place to turn in the tote bag ticket to get it and the goodies it has, which will include a nice little booklet of all the demo's and a map
of where everything is.

My suggestion is to make sure you take a pen and some highlights. You can highlight the demo's you are doing in this book so you don't have to pull out your tickets every time to look at them. You can also mark what demo's you may be interested in taking. Even though you could only buy 8 when you signed up there is not a number on how many demo's you can actually take. You can purchase more demo tickets once you get there. You can also exchange a ticket in case you decide that demo is not for you.

They have a Demo Showroom set up where those that are demo-ing will bring their display to show until it is time for their demo. Do be sure to go through there to see if something else catches your eye. I have had demo's that didn't as interesting on paper but made me wanted to do them after actually seeing the demo piece. And I have had some that I saw and thought nah I'll do something else.

Every convention has a show comittee and they will all be wearing the same type of shirts and sometimes you will see them with headsets. If you have any questions they are great help, as is most people you will run into there. icon_smile.gif

I Hope you all have fun. I really wanted to go too, but my due date is July 15th with my first born. I was so excited last year when they said ICES is in Orlando, because I live in Tampa (1 hr 20 mins away). I have never been and I really wanted to go but motherhood comes first and maybe I will get a chance to go to future shows. Please post some comments about how the show was so those of us who could not be there can live it thru you. SO JEALOUS.

Awww, thank you Iamlis. Ya'll make sure ya'll have some fun for me. Plus you can save all your notes from the demo's and pass them on to me. HeHe! I've been to 4 of them, was lucky enough to go to the last three in a row. I knew when the Disney one was set I wouldn't make it to it. I just can't afford it this year, but hopefully I shall make it next year, and the year after and the year after that. icon_smile.gif

You will have a blast I am sure. There is so much there to keep you busy that by the end of the weekend you will need another vacation just to catch up on sleep.
