Wow, Can you tell if this is real cakes or dummie cakes used to display the cupcakes? I love the idea, can't wait to try it.

some of the pics do look computer generated, but some look like the cc's are on dummies with the top tiers (without cc's) are maybe real cake. its an cool way to display them!
Whatever it is I thought it was pretty and a nice change for a display. I think I'll try dummies with real CC's. Maybe a real cake for topper to save.
wow! these ARE really pretty! I do too think that most are computer generated...but it would look like a nice alternative to flowers on a cake...I am just not a flower person though VERY COOL idea!
if you try going to cake journal she has instructions on making cake displays that could look like that-i've gone to pinkcakebox and she uses cupcakes alot with a small cake topper. whatever they are it's a cute and different idea
What a beautiful display! Computer generated of not I can't wait to try it. It amazes me all the different things you can do & create. The possibilites are endless w/ cake !!!!!!!!
Wow, thanks for sharring! Those are really cool! I think they could be dummies with fondant and ribbon.
I like them..
I dont know about computer generated, but some do look like the background was changed in photoshop to match the cakes though JMHO
Yeah, I just thought that it was a neat idea, it's amazing what one person doesn't think of the other one does. We NEED each other.
mama mia,i dont care if they were computer made or hand made but its a great idea and beautiful too super wow
michellesArt, I didn't see anything on the site about a cake journal. Could you please put the URL?
I think those are cake dummies.... what a cool idea! I could put a real cake on the top! REUSABLE! SCORE!
Brilliant display!! I may have to set up some dummies for this - would work so amazing with a Cupcake Bar!
they do look like something odd was done to them...fixed up or something.
My question is will real cake hold that many cupcakes up without sagging? (they are pretty close to the edge)
I don't think they are meant to be real cakes, just fondant covered dummies. They are the best displays I have seen, other than when people use real and different cake plates at different heights and styles mixed together, I like that, too.

You're correct.
If you click on 'how to order', it states that they are cake stands decorated to match your cupcake choice/decor.
They only do cupcakes.
I found the cake journal. I didn't realize you were talking about a different website, I thought it was a section on that one.
