i have to make some chocolate boots and cowboy hats for a august wedding. the bride has requested that the boots have gold detail on them and the cowboy hats have a gold trim. i have no idea what to use on the chocolate. i was wondering could i use luster dust or glitter on the chocolate. and if so how do i attach the luster dust/glitter to the chocolate. thanks for your help.

I would use the Luster Dust. Use a very soft brush and start with just a hint of the luster dust. I think it looks best if applied very sparingly. If that's not enough just add another coat but sparingly each time. icon_smile.gif

Colored Cocoa Butter can be painted into the molds first. Despite what the directions say, do NOT overheat or let the cocoa butter cool down beyond body temp or else it gets grainy.

Using colored cocoa butter is a quick solution. You can also paint the dried cocoa butter (that's already in the molds) with a little luster dust to bring out the color.

Good Luck.
