Hello,

I have an order for a Texas Longhorn Cake. They do not want the edible image. Eoes anyone have any suggestions how to make the Longhorn logo look really awesome? I appreciate advice from all of you veteran decorators!

Do they want the entire cake in the shape of a longhorn, or do they just want the longhorn on the cake?

I remember seeing something on TV a while back about this lady that makes a 3-D Longhorn cake -- amazing -- but probably incredibly difficult since it was a steer actually standing! I hope for your sake they're talking about something like this (scroll down her page)

but I did a Google and came up with several hits maybe you could get ideas from

Here are a couple I've done for the same client. She always requests something 'unusual', so disregard the glasses!

They're huge - 100 servings each - but could be scaled down.

This is incredibally tedious, but when I do logo work I trace the logo on parchment, then roll out fondant and pinprick the tracing onto the fondant, then cut the fondant with an exacto knife and add the detials with piping, there's a few in my photos of football/baseball logos. It's a massive PITA but I stink at freehanding.
