Anyone have a really good recipe/idea for a strawberry jelly-type filling for a lemon cake? I seem to recall when I took a torte class, the strawberry filling (don't know what brand) in a long log-shaped plastic bag didn't taste that great. All I saw in the recipe section were cream-type fillings. I need this by Thurs/Fri. 7-10/11 if not sooner.

I actually use seedless strawberry jelly. Is there a reason you can't use that?

I've been looking through CC, but I can't find the link I'm looking for... there's a lady on here, her name is mamajan61... she has an awesome recipe for strawberry filling.

I have a friend that owns a bakery and she said she used mamajan61's recipe for the first time a few months ago, and the requests for strawberry filled cakes have went out the roof.

I'll keep searching to see if I can find it for you, but if not, I'm sure you can PM her and she'll give you the recipe.

I use the pre-made filling that comes in the long sleeve and it's delicious - hardly worth trying to make it yourself with this convenience. I purchase it at a local cake/ chocolate supply store. You can also purchase them on line.

I use the seedless Smuckers jelly, too, and have used a "bakery jelly" too. It's a little more spreadable than the Smuckers, and comes in big tubs. I forget where I ordered it.

Hello Delynn - I was wondering if you were able to get the recipe for the strawberry filling from mamajan.  I have my first order for a cake with a strawberry filling and I was hoping you could pass it along to me.  Thanks so much for your help!  Gina
