I am looking for gluten free recipes for almost any kind of cake. I have tried a few and they all turn out like bricks. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
My mom has a gluten allergy. My sister-in-law has found some gluten free mixes that are not all that bad. (Believe me, we have had some awful tasting cakes before trying to find her a cake to eat.) The mix is from an amish community store here. I bet that you could google it and find them as well.
BTW, my Mom loves ice cream cakes from the local D***y Q***n. That's usually what we do for her.

I use a box mix from the health food store. It's great.
I'm experimenting with gluten-free breads and cakes (box and scratch). So far, the box mixes are the best.
I realize you posted a few weeks ago but I just answered a recent post with a similar question, I thought I'd post my link from that response here too; here's a great thread with some GF yellow and chocolate cake recipes that have been taste tested and baker-approved!! I served the chocolate one at a baby shower, nobody had any clue it was GF! http://forum.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=522883&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=glutenfree&&start=0
