the more the merrier!!

we'll just do a headcount when we get a date pinned down..probably in sept sometime, and then go from there with the planning.

what good is a big ole house without friends?

I am in Elizabethton just close to Johnson City. About 100 miles east of Knoxville. I have a couple of friends here that would love to get together with other cakers. Please, let me know if we can get to gether.

I just stumbled across this thread and was so excited to see so many others from TN! I am in Knoxville, and would love a chance to meet some other CCers! icon_biggrin.gif As many have mentioned, I too have a lot going on from the end of September through mid October, but I would love to meet up with some of you if the dates work out. I wouldn't mind heading out to Nashville, and carpooling too, if some of you from this area are up for it! icon_wink.gif

i was wondering that myself...once i get a date, i will post on this thread, which should make you get an email in your box letting you know someone has posted to this thread. make sure to click on that link to take you to cc, because i have found out by reading the small print that if you do not follow that link, the notices will stop being sent to you.

i will also try to pm each person who posted in the thread to let them know the date. i will include hotel info and directions to our house, which is quite easy, and right off interstate 65 and 840.

With me working full time and doing this "on the side" it would be hard for me to drive the 3.5 hours to Nashville. But I am definitely interested in meeting with other cake makers.

icon_surprised.gificon_lol.gif Hey---If there are others closer to the Knoxville area that would like to meet, it might be better to do it on this side of the state, rather than driving all the way to Nashville? Like I said, my mom is on the other side of Nashville in a nursing home, so I can go over pretty much any time and it's not a big deal.

But if there are other ladies who'd like to get together on this side, hey---I'm all for that, too!! icon_smile.gif

I'm in Memphis, TN and try to get together with our West Tennessee Cake Club whenever possible.

Leah Langford, as mentioned earlier is one of the nicest people around. She is extremely talented, giving, helpful and always puts together a nice "day of sharing" for us. Send her an email if you are on this side of Tennessee.

I started a post earlier about hosting a SugarShack class in La Follette, TN... That's about 30 miles north of Knoxville.. Anyone that's interested may come.. I haven't worked on the dates yet or what will be covered.. I'm just checking to see if I could get enough interest..
