Southern Bride and Groom is doing a feature story on weddings in our town, and they have chosen us to supply all of the cakes. Editoral coverage is much better than an ad, so we're pretty excited, but I need three spectacular dummies to have their pictures taken in the Carolina Inn. She has asked for a cake with painted details, a cake with fruit , and a cake featuring blue and green.
Any Ideas ?
Well, as far as blue and green go, the most popular versions to put together are light aqua and emerald green, or the peacock electric blue and deep hunter green.
maybe on the bottom of each tier on the blue and green one, it can have a blue ribbon and a thinner pink one, and polka dots in maybe 2 shades of green on the sides and top of each tier. then for the topper, it can be pink flowers with some green leaves.
the painted one can be floral.
and then the fruit one... i don't really have any ideas for that one, but i'm sure someone will think of something.
good luck!
Do you save pictures of cakes you love or wish you had a chance to do sometime? If so I'd flip through those to see if there is some that fit what you need now.

I do keep pictures, but I am having trouble matching the cakes I like with the cakes she wants.

Really ? I am having a tough time imagining that.
Yes, in the new Martha Stewart weddings she has color combos and the blue and green, the first one I listed is in there. I actually looks stunning.
