Well Dawn.....you've won this thing again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're a very talented cookie decorator and I'm glad to have done this with you. I had a blast, especially seeing my whole family so interested in the throwdown! They're my biggest fans for sure!!!
So now you have to find another person to challenge. If you need help with that let me know. There are more great cookie makers out there!!!!!
Thanks to everyone who took the time to look and vote. We appreciated your comments too! And thanks again to 'shellzey' for posting the pics for the throwdown. Good luck to whoever does the next one!

great jobs ladies. both cookie bouquets were amazing!!!!
here's my two cents for the next one. i think it would be a good idea that when loading the pictures there be a picture of the whole bouquet and then a close up of each cookie. for some reason pictures are fuzzy on here and a close up would help show the detail. i know that would be a lot of pics but it isn't hard to load them. anyway, just a suggestion =)

I think this is an excellent idea. I would love to see both of the cookies with the "spa ladies" up close!!

Is this over already? Man, I've been so busy this last week I haven't been here enough to get in early! Oh, well, I still voted. I'd be proud to put my name on either one of them.

hi everyone!! just checking in real quick. my husband had ankle surgery this morning after a really bad fracture in 3 places. things have been rough this week. it's going to be a long weekend.
i can't believe the throwdown is over. that seemed to fly by. thanks jennifer for doing it with me. thanks too to shelley for posting for us. i'm not real sure what the answer is for the blurry photos. what about instead of a closeup of each cookie, we could just do a closeup of all the cookies. i'm just thinking 8 photos will be a lot to post, but whatever you guys wanna do is fine.
as for who to challenge next......drum roll.... i actually wanted to go for the queen herself..Nancysfancy. but, last time i went on her site, it said she was moving to new york. i know she would blow me out of the water, but... so, if she's not around, i'll have to think. i'm hoping hubby is a little better tomorrow so i can check back in and flip thru the gallery. i do have a couple names that come to mind. oh, hubby's waking up, gotta run....

So sorry to hear about your husband! Hope he recovers quickly and you can get back to your normal routines. Then again, is anything ever normal? Was it Gilda Radner who said, "It's always something." Good luck!

well, it's been a long road here in our house. hubby is sleeping again. that seems to be the only time he's not in pain. gosh, i feel so useless.
anyways, i went back thru my favorites. there were a couple of names that came up several times. i tried to find someone who's work looked like something i would do. and so, it came down to....bum bah dah bum.....
yankeegal...i challenge you to a cookie bouquet throwdown

I hope your husband finds some relief from his pain, and you get some rest as well!!!
I would be honored to do a cookie throwdown with you!!! This last one was awesome!
I will leave it to your schedule when it takes place as you have your hands full now taking care of your hubby.
I am up for whatever!!

ok, so, good news, bad news...
good news,
my husband is finally able to get some relief. we figured out what was the problem and got it fixed. YEAH! thanks everyone for your well wishes. it means a lot.
bad news,
we found out he won't be getting any disability thru work, so i need to go back to work full time next week in addition to doing cookies. i need that guaranteed paycheck. luckily, the bakery i used to work at just had a full timer go on maternity leave. so, they're going to let me pick up her hours.
anyways, i still really want to do the throwdown. i was looking at the calendar. i think we were trying to do 3 weeks until the pics get turned in and then 1 week for voting. the only problem i have is that 3 weeks away is my son's graduation party. things were going to be hectic to begin with. i'm hoping it's ok with you guys that maybe we can turn in pictures during that next week, maybe July 15th or 16th?!?!?!
now it's time to come up with a theme. then i guess we'll start a new thread.
so, let me know.......
