What an inspiration you are. When the people see what you can do to a building they will all come to see what you can do to a cake.

It is not like magic...it is the hard work and determination of a dedicated cake decorator. I wish you all the best.

When we were there over Spring Break, Minnie's house was closed for "Spring cleaning", so we only got to see the outside. Mickey's house was neat though!

The shop you bought has a great potential -- "good bones" I think they say in real estate.

It will look great -- good luck, and keep us posted with photos!

I think your building is really cute! Clearly it needs some work but I love the basic shape and the windows and everything. You could probably paint it the right colors and then just add to it a little at a time. I want it!!!!

Hi littlecake! I've been waiting for another post to see how you were coming along. Patience is a virtue, so I guess you are a very virtueous lady. Hope you get your roof on soon so you can scratch the itch to get in there & get going. I admire your your spirit and determination. You go girl! It's gonna be g-r-e-a-t!

well i was gonna do metal over the overhang part...then i could at least get started on the inside....it leaks a lot.

anyhoo...i got the money saved up...

BUT

when my partner left the business 5 years ago...for a while it was so hard to keep my head above water...i got behind on my sales tax.....

the last couple of years have been easier...so i've been working on my bill...and making progress....well next month is time for my # to be renewed...and they won't do it without getting the total of what i still owe, i thought i had more time since i been working on it...ugh....that letter sucked.

so i might have to give them my roof money, and start all over again.

it's so embarrising ...that's why i said..."no one else will be reading this.

i swear, could the government make it any harder for us?

(edited to take off useless rant)

Stay the course. Take plenty of pictures as you go.

littlecake,

Keep your head held high and the dream alive!! It's so ironic that our government says it's all for the small business owner but then makes it so incredibly difficult to succeed! I can just imagine your frustration!!

Oh littlecake! You keep going strong girl! I admire you for doing this a little at a time. People today get in such a hurry and end up making bad decisions. All the while their dreams go down the toilet! Keep your dream alive!

Can't wait till you are able to post pics of the progress you will be making!

Oh, and don't get me started on the government! GRRRR! We still don't have our stupid stimulous(sp?) check yet!

Just keep pushing forward, as you are doing. My Mom always used to tell me, when I was having a hard time, that everything will work out. I, of course, would not believe her right away, but, of course, Mom was right. Everything does work out in the end--sometimes it just takes a little longer to get there. Try to figure out how to use your camera so you can post your progress. I cannot figure out for the life of me how to post pictures to the computer! icon_biggrin.gif
