a bride of mine loves the pattern on the china plates they registered for. She wants to incorporate it into the cake. She found this picture of a cake that was designed after the china. Trouble is, i can't figure out how they did that! any ideas on how to recreate this cake?

thanks!

Just paint!

Cover your tiers in the white fondant. Get POWDERED colors. Mix your colors with lemon extract, and start at the beginning. You can paint right on the fondant, but I let the fondant sit on the cake for a hour or two to harden a tad before I paint.

Make sure that the consistancy of your paint is more like a oil paint than a water color. It will give you a darker color.
