I want to try a cake like this but I need some help? Is this cake made with a pan or cut to be shaped like this? I know it's called a comma cake but I have looked and I can't find a pan anywhere. And does anyone know where I can buy this cake stand? I checked at Beryl's & Sugarcraft but I didn't see a stand like this. Can anyone help?

I have these pans but they didn't come in until after I needed them. I'll check and see where I purchased them. To make the anniversery cake that's in my gallery (since the pans didn't come in in time) I used a cake board the same size as my cake and made a yin and yang symbol and cut it out and placed it on my cake and cut my cake to the shape. I then flipped the top over onto the bottom to make it a two layer cake. One of my cakes was chocolate and one was vanilla with both layers being made from one round cake.

I'll post where I got the pans as soon as I find the site.

Oh your cake is gorgeous! I think they look so nice which is why I wanted to try them. Yes please let me know where you found the pans. What are the pans called? And where did you get those beautiful figures next to the cake?

The figures are called Willow Tree figures - I collect them. Using them let me include our son in the cake. Still looking for the pans. They weren't easy to find!

Thank you so much! I looked all over Sugarcraft and I couldn't find them. I'd better grab them before I forget where they are! Thanks! Hopefully I'll have a nice cake to put up once they get here!

I love Willow Tree figurines! My best friend had a few, and I just went on and on about them, so my husband called her to find out what they were and bought me my first one for our anniversary! Debbie, your cake is an awesome inspiration on how to use other things to decorate cakes with! And can't wait to see yours, JustJaimeLyn!

Thank you so much! I have a dozen or so figurines and there are at least two more out that I want! I just purchased one as a Thank You for a friend last weekend.

I wasn't happy with my wedding cake so I made my own 10th anniversery cake. That way if I didn't like it - it was my own fault! I loved it! Everyone else did also!

Thanks again!
Debbie
