I am drawing a blank. We are having a ladies luncheon next week and I have no idea what kind of cake to do. Something different. I know you all have some excellent ideas. Please help me.

Thanks
Michelle

Is it for a ladies club? Or what exactly is the group called? Let me know and maybe I can research or others can offer some input icon_smile.gif

ntertayneme, it's just some ladies that I work with. We wanted an excuse to have a little party and eat cake. I was thinking that I could use them as guinea pigs too. icon_lol.gif

You could do a mini cake for each person.

Or take advantage of the season and do something with berries or peaches. Here is an example. You could leave the chocolate blank instead of painting it with roses and it would still look pretty.

(The cake is from www.sharonssugarshack.com)

Niki027's idea would be fun .. to do little individal cakes for each person .. maybe personalize them even .. chocolate and pink is so pretty and elegant to me too .. maybe some really small tiered cakes in a dark chocolate, with chocolate icing and pink borders/roses .. or maybe put their name on the cake in pink .. you could even do some chocolate cake balls with pink glaze drizzled on them .. to me it looks really feminine and elegant .. just a thought icon_smile.gif

love the ideas, keep them coming.

I like the individual cake idea, but do I need different pans or can I carve/cut them out? what kind of cake? Covered in ganache sounds really yummy. I couldn't get to that link that was posted about the fruit.

The first thing that came to mind was fruit ~ the sugar coated fruit on a cake ~ fill it with a yummy fruity filling. Maybe that's because I have been wanting to try that. Plus I love decorating tables with fruit ~ cheap, edible and elegant!

Can't wait to see what you come up with. icon_smile.gif
