I personally haven't done this or had a situation where it needed refrigerated, but others may have tried it.
Depending what decorations were on it when you refrigerate it, and the mmf may become hard (?). When you take it out of the fridge, condensation will build on it and some of your decorations may bleed or simply fall off, or you may get run marks if there is a lot of the condensation running down the sides of the cake.
Like I said, I don't know, I've never done it and I don't know how it would do.
ntertayneme, what do you think and have you tried this?

I have put mine in fridge it did harden up quite a bit but it didn't bleed. It was still edible but I think it's better when you don't put it in the fridge.
