Where could I look to get information about entering into my local fair's contest? I wouldn't even know where to begin looking...
I don't think I will be doing it anytime soon, but I might in the near future.

try searching this link for your area ... there is a calendar for each month and you can look to see if there is a county or district fair for your area...

I did a search for MD State Fair or HC Farm Fair (whatever you fair would be called) and got a link to the site. From there I was able to print off a class list.
