Looking For Basic Vanilla And Chocolate Pudding Fillings

Can anyone help me out? I want to try to make a pudding filling for my cakes I never did this so I need help in finding a good recipe. Thanks

You can whip your box of instant flavored pudding with 2 cups of whipping cream and it makes a really tasty filling. Very easy!

INGREDIENTS

* 1/2 cup white sugar
* 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
* 1/4 cup cornstarch
* 1/8 teaspoon salt
* 2 3/4 cups milk
* 2 tablespoons margarine or butter
* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS

1. In a saucepan, stir together sugar, cocoa, cornstarch and salt. Place over medium heat, and stir in milk. Bring to a boil, and cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens enough to coat the back of a metal spoon. Remove from heat, and stir in margarine and vanilla. Let cool briefly, and serve warm, or chill in refrigerator until serving.


* 3 cups milk
* 1/4 cup cornstarch
* 1/2 cup sugar
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Preparation:
Scald 2 2/3 cups of the milk. Mix cornstarch, sugar and salt; stir in remaining 1/3 cup milk. Add to scalded milk and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and smooth. Continue cooking vanilla pudding for about 5 minutes to thoroughly cook cornstarch. Cool vanilla pudding slightly; stir in vanilla and pour into serving dishes. Vanilla pudding recipe serves 6. thumbs_up.gif
