Description for contestant #1 : Car is based on a '49 ford woody & carved from four 9x13's covered in green fondant, door panels are painted, trim painted in silver luster dust. Surfer and tanning chick are 50/50 gumpaste/fondant. Surf board is gumpaste airbrushed blue then hawaiian pattern is royal icing. Palm tree is a dowl covered in modelling chocolate and fondant/gumpaste leaves. Sand is graham crackers.

Description for contestant #2 : The bottom two tiers are fondant, the top one is royal icing. The flowers are gumpaste.

Oh my gosh!! I love them both!

The Tiki and bamboo are incredible. Your hibiscus look real! I love the stitching around the banana leaves.... Beautiful! Neat for a wedding!

The woody looks amazing.... such great shape and i love the surfboard! How cute "woody" this be for a groom's cake or a joint shower! I also like the way you did the brown fondant instead of having the messy "sand" all the way to the edges!


I can't decide.... I will have to come back and vote later on this one!!

this was a tough one. they are so different yet both so amazing.

Wow, I love both of these. They're so different and both so awesome! So far, there are no losers in any of these TD's. IMO, every person has done such an amazing job.

Both cakes are fantastic!! Great job!

Another tough decision. I love the car and surfboard, on the one hand, and the hibiscus and bamboo on the other. Gorgeous cakes!

OMG, these cakes are great! I can't get over the degree of difficulty. The standards are rising higher and higher!

Both cakes are just so great and I love each of them for different reasons. The car and people are amazing. The flowers, bamboo and tiki in cake #2 are so incredibly realistic looking - Wow!

But I'm going to have to say that I truly feel that the 2nd cake is more representative of the theme. The first one can be any beach or sandy area anywhere, but the elements used in the 2nd cake scream out "Hawaii/Polynesian" to me.

Wow another amazing entry! I'm in awe.... What extreme talent! My vote is in. I must say, it was the girl basking in the sun that got me! Congrats to both! Excellent job!

The top tier on the second cake is AWESOME! I love that! But they are both really great....geeze the people on here are so talented!!!!

Wow! This is a hard one! I love, love, love the woody car. Great modelling and details. The second cake is beautiful! The bamboo, tiki and flowers are perfect. You sure are making it tough on us You are both winners in my eyes!
