I've been a member of this site for a year and a half and i've only just noticed there is a quick reply box at the bottom of the threads.

You know, I looked all over the bottom of this page and was all ''I don't see a button that says 'Quick Reply' on it...?''

That's so funny...I always use the quick reply, and then feel bad cause I didn't use smileys.

and the "quote the last message" thing? i wondered how that was done! duh......

The same here. I just always stopped scrolling after the last message and saw post reply. Thanks for pointing it out beachcakes. Now if only I can remember it in the future. 
lol..yall are a trip...its about the only thing that i ever use. just sucks that i never get to use the smilies..but its so much eaiser to use this than to have to open up another page..specially with my s----l----o----w---- dial up. lol
Does this top it? When I first got on here, I thought it was SO HARD to look at everyone's pics. I found the page where you insert the name of the CC'er, and I bookmarked it. Then I'd copy and paste the CC'ers name onto that page. FINALLY noticed the "Photos" box at the bottom of each post! Well THAT'S sure easier!

Guess my DH got me trained to always look at the whole page. I always scroll down until there is nothing else so that's how I found it right off. He trained me that way because I use to miss a lot on web pages because I didn't scroll enough.
LOL, I have always used the quick reply thing and wondered how people put all those cute smilies....until maybe a month ago....I figured out the "other" way to reply to a post!! Funny how everyones' brains work differently huh.
I have always used the quick reply on here. It loads faster for me and I have satelite for internet! I have tried the other way but I like this way better! I think bc this site has so much info the other way is just to slow and when I do get on here I also have my two kids at my heal!

You can also add smilies in the Quick Reply. That's what I use all the time (like now )
Here's a quick list - not all of the smilies, but some. Use everything INSIDE the quotes, but not the quotes. "" ""

Edited to say - Forgot, these work even IN TEXT, unlike most smilies. For example, if you put 8 in parentheses, you get (
. So, go into a REGULAR REPLY box, and make a list up. Click the smilies you like, and write down what pops into the box. For example, is : r o l l : with no spaces.
