What color and how much are you using?

I have had the same problem. I found that adding a tiny amount of pink will tame down the "teal" color. Do not add too much at a time or you will get a purple hue. I hope this helps.

Really??? Hmmm, gonna give it a try. I want a soft baby blue. I have wilton royal blue and sky blue. I don't have any americolor blue here but I looked in a catolog and they don't seem to have anything either. I think I also have wilton delphinium blue. I have to do a blue cake for a shower this weekend.

If you use just just the tinyest amount of sky blue you should be ok. It sounds like you're just using too much.

I used Wilton royal blue to get a pale blue icing. To that I added the pink until I got the baby blue I wanted. I had to match the icing to a ribbon that was used on the cake.

I agree Sky Blue is more on the teal side than a pastel blue. I use a little Lobelia blue, or royal blue or capri blue just enough to get a blue shade Have a look on my website under Novelty cakes and Baby Blue on the first page. That was a touch of Lobelia powder. Good Luck

Ok, I'm going to try it! Every time I get an order for blue I cringe! It is the only color I can't seem to get!
