I've tried using the color mists sprays a couple of times but end up with a mess!!! Every time I use them I end up with dark spots where I've sprayed. After the first time I thought maybe I didn't shake the can well enough. So this last time I shook it more and still ended up with dark colored spots all over...
Anyone else every use them and have this trouble??
I would like to get an actual airbrush but I don't do enough cakes to afford one so I thought this would be the closest I could get but if I keep having this trouble I'm not going to use them anymore because I feel like I've ruined the look of my cakes when I do....
Please help!!
I hate those stupid things! I had dark spots, light spots, icing burn, and my ENTIRE kitchen was blue by the time I was done! Those things are CRAP!
They're VERY messy and it's VERY easy to get spots and circles, but if you're careful you can make them work. Cover the area of your kitchen (or wherever) because you're sure to get overspray. Shake the can well, and keep the can moving as you spray, and hold the can far enough away from the cake that the spray is a mist by the time it hits the cake.
I have a Paasche airbrush (cheap) but I still use the canned sprays for small jobs.
