Has anyone tired making chocolate flower pots using a mold. I found a mold on sugarcraft and I would love your input. A friend is doing a art show in June and she asked me to make some desserts using the flower theme.

Thanks
Allison

I saw (I think in the Little Cakes book--from the whimsical bakehouse) them use the small plastic disposable cups. Either 3 or 5 oz. They cut a slit down the height, taped the crease on the outside, poured chocolate into the cup & brushed it up the sides. I'm wanting to say they dried it upside down, but not sure. Then after it was dry they took the tape off & peeled the cup off the mold. Afterward they put a cupcake in the pot & decorated it like a potted flower. It was really cute!

If you're close to a book store you should see if they have it. I hope I explained that well enough

Hgtv.com has instructions for a chocolate bag similar to what your asking. You get a bag with the waxy covering inside brush chocolate up the side and let it dry then you peel off and you get a small chocolate bag. Same procedure like dandelion 56602 suggested. Maybe if you get those paper cups that have a waxy covering on the inside that could probably work.

they are called chocolate gift bags. but I'm pretty sure you can use the same concept for a pot

What's the deal with the original post and the '[blocked]'? And then when mjjandz tried to post the website, that "they" wouldn't let it happen.

What's up with that? Were they 'R' rated?

Thanks for all the help. I will start playing around with ideas. I am also going to make oreo truffles, petit fours.

I used cupcake liners and painted chocolate on them, and filled with mousse. Maybe I might just do that.

Thanks
Allison
