hey there,

If you are it looks pretty simple.. Just use a round single layer cake ( 7 inch or 8 inch) and put it on the bottom. Than you a half of the 3d ball shaped cake to put on the top. or you could probally use 2 6 inch cake and round the top off so that they have the round affect to them. for the wings on the side you could use twinkies and ice them red or whatever color you are gonna use to make them match to the whole cake. As for the antenta and the top parts of the wings/tail you can you fondant or mmf or candy clay. Candy clay, is that similar to clay/ fondant? If it is than just roll it out, and cut out the shapes for the wings/ tail decorations. you will probally need to let them dry for a day or so. This will make it so that when you do attach them to the cake they will stand up straight and not fall over or bend.
