All of the cupcakes are GREAT!! I have saved so many of them for future inspiration. I hope this thread keeps growing. If my fundraser cupcakes are worthy, I'll post them after the weekend. This a tough neighborhood (lol) to hang out in.

jammjenks, how did you make those look like roses?

I'm pretty sure I used tip #2D. I just started in the center and swirled to the outer edge. Leaves were piped on using #352 (I think). I'm not at home right now, so I'm relying on my memory (scary).

Great thread! I love cupcakes and these are some gorgeous ones! icon_smile.gif

Here are some I made last summer - I was happy with how they turned out. They are WASC with IMBC, RI flowers.

I have a question for all you who have fondant circles on top of the cupcakes. Did you put the circles on when the cupcakes were warm or did you put it on later with frosting or something?

these are my fav. got the idea from the wilton cupcake book. these are a hit and so easy. cupcakes are covered in BC and smoothed. feet are fondant cut with an oval cutter then part of the oval cutter again to cut out the shape for the foot's arch. toes are rolled balls of fondant.

I put mine on after they cooled. Piped a little buttercream on the cupcake, cut out a circle of fondant and laid it right on top..

has anyone tried this baking pan? It makes cupcakes baked like icecream cones. I may have to buy it.

Hi darandon - I have the pan put out by Williams Sonoma. Got it on clearance at a store for $4.99. It is really a great pan, other than you need something to keep them standing. They don't stand that easy. I used melted chocolate on the bottoms.

I use tip #2D for the rose effect on mine and work from the center out. If I just want a large swirl, I use 1M and work from the outside in.
