Since I do not use my cake business to support myself, I limit weddings to ONE per day. But I do know another woman in town who does support herself with it, and she will do up to 6 in one day. icon_eek.gif

Since it's just me, I limit myself to 2 weddings per day. I already have two Saturdays scheduled in June and October with 2 weddings each. Should be interesting. I don't feel that I could handle any more than that, and still put out a delicious and well-decorated cake. Everyone is different, but for me, that's my personal limit.

3 is the max for me! That kept me plenty busy! I won't do any more than that, and would rather only do 2.

I will not turn down wedding cakes. The most I have done is 10 in 2 days with an assistant.

Soon I might be a legend...HaHaHa! Isn't that what they call a dead hero?

But seriously, once I get alot for a weekend I start going up on the prices. Supply and demand.

The price of my wedding cakes include me staying and cutting/serving the cake. I also do buffet catering, which also includes me and a staff to serve it. So with that said, I max out at 3/day and that depends on the logistics. I have crews that I can out on multiple bookings (I have 3 on July 7th and 3 on June 2). It depends on how big their buffet is, if I am making the cake and where the wedding are located. I have one booked for 2007 in which it's a really big full-packaged reception PLUS it's about 45 minutes away, so I've blocked that date as a one-wedding only.

BTW, have you noticed that 7/7/07 is considered THE date to get married this year? I had those 3 weddings booked on that date months ago and I've turned down 3 others! In case you're interested, 8/8/08 is on a Friday so get ready!

One per weekend is enough for me. I've got a full time job and only have every other weekend off, so I can't do too much. Once in a while I would like a day off. June 10th last year was popular for me. I had 2 wedding cakes scheduled, but one wedding was cancelled (thank goodness for me). The wedding inquiries are rolling in this year though. I've got 2 scheduled, 3 consultations in the next week, and a number of others starting to get some information. I applaud those of you who can do this for a living. I told my DH that if I ever said I wanted to quit my job to do cakes to slap me around a few times and bring me to my senses.
