I have a question about fondant decorations on cupcakes and was wondering if someone can help. I am making cupcakes with frosting which will have a fondant decoration sticking out of it. I am dropping these off for my customer on the day before the party--do I need to be worried about the fondant/sugar paste decoration becoming soft and breaking due to the moisture in the frosting? I am making the decorations out of 50% fondant & 50% sugar paste so that they will dry very hard. Any helps or tips would be greatly appreciated.
thanks!

I have never had a problem with that..and even fondant decor left on "left over " cake slices /cupcakes...never a problem !
Of course you want to make sure they keep it out of the sun so nothing fades
thank you very much fiddlesticks.....
I am making black mickey mouse ears---so after reading your response, I should let these dry in a dark place in my home as I have heard that black can loose its color quickly....
I always have my cakes done the night before they are due..just to be sure I have no problems and anything using fondant gumpaste or mmf with tylose has never been a problem ...I do know that anything you make from gumpaste can fade in the sun ...doesn't matter if it's on a cake or just drying on a sheet pan ....
Oh good luck and can't wait to see it ..I Love Mickey !!
