since i only do this part time i only take one at a time.

Somethings to consider, is the complexity of the designs, Distant to deliver and how hard you want to work.

I know i read somewhere that people like Earlene Moore set a dollar amount per weekend and keep to that. I think if i were doing this as a full fledge business that would be a good way to handle things. Cause lets face it you could whip out several simply iced cakes where the florist is throwing the flowers on in a weekend. But if you are making all your own gumpaste flowers then the amount of time to make the cake would take much longer. So hense the dollar figure really would seem to work.

I wish I could just get some orders...but...I did do 2 cakes and a grooms cake one weekend and thought I would die....I have a 40 hour a week day job. But I thrive on stress so it did not all hit me until afterwards!! But as long as I am working my 40 hour job I will only do one a day in the future...or maybe a wedding cake and a grooms cake!! OH heck pour it on!! HA!HA!

Since I only do this part time by choice, depending on the design, my goal is one per month! I like to take my time in making my decorations, look at the design several way, etc.

However, some CCer's will remember my Cake Trilogy of 2006 which was a "challenge" to say the least! LOLL I did wedding and groom's cakes for 3 weeks in a row, including Thanksgiving weekend!

Things have now slowed down and I'm back to birthday cakes and shower cakes and a MUCH slower pace!!

HAPPY BAKING!!
