I have a baby shower cake to make for April 19. The theme is Allstar Teddy Bears. This will be my first attempt at making my own bear for a cake so I'm nervous. I want to go ahead and make it and all the sports balls in case I run into trouble. With the shower being 2 weeks away I'm affraid that it won't store well. Whats the best way to store to keep it fresh. Also any tips on making the bear and storage of it till the shower will be greatly appreciated icon_biggrin.gif

When I store my fondant I roll it up into a ball, then coat it lightly with Crisco, wrap it it plastic wrap, then place it in a ziplock or air tight container. The key to keep fonant fresh is to keep air off it.

As far as the bear you can make it and store it in a cake box.
