My Uncle is turning 21 in one month. I am having trouble thinking of an idea for his cake. I was thinking of a sheet cake carved into the shape of a martini. Does this sound like a good idea? What ideas do you all have?
I really need help with this one.

How big of a cake do you need? Does he have any hobbies for favorite things?

The Ace of Cakes just did a 21st birthday cake. It was decorated in pink and brown (girl's colors for her party) and then all kinds of glasses of drinks all over it. Kind of cool. The drinks were gumpaste.

Good luck!

I love the martini idea, but you could also do a beer can (his favorite brand) or a foaming mug of beer. When I think "guy" I think beer. The martini cake would be classier though! Anyway, there are tons of beer pics, here are a few:

when I think guy I think beer also...

I was thinking a 2 tier cake the bottom tier have like beer bottles all around the cake and the top tier have a figure "kissing the porcelain" w/ beer bottles all around the floor.

I just did the cooler cake with the empty beer cans for my son's 21st
birthday. It was the hit of the dorm!!! You have never seen so many guys taking pictures of a cake. It was really funny.

I bet it would've been an even bigger hit if the cans hadn't been empty. icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

If your thinking alcohol, then for a male beer comes to mind for me as well.
I've seen some cakes that were fantastic done by a baker here in my city and she had done the cases of beer rather than just one bottle/can. I think I have her website address if you'd like to see her pics. icon_smile.gif
