Does Black Fondant Turn Your Mouth Black?

Can anyone tell me if BLACK fondant (like Satin Ice) will turn your mouth/teeth/tongue black or discolor it at all? I have a customer who is adamant about it NOT discoloring her guests' mouths. Help!! Thanks!
I actually ordered Choco-Pan black fondant. Do you think that will stain their mouths? I was hoping not since I think they start w/ chocolate. Thanks!
The problem is they start with WHITE chocolate.
I have used Cal Java Sweet Inspirations, but have not tried the Choco Pan (both chocolate fondants)
I found that the the "chocolate fondants" do not color that mouth as much as the Satin Ice did - but still did some.
Since you have already ordered it, you may want to make a small cake, or cupcakes and send it home with customer to make a decision on whether she still wants to use Black. (with the option of a dark brown if she does not) When I tested it, I made sure that it sat on the buttercream crumb coat so that any interaction would occur similiar to what would happen on the final cake.
Good Luck -
I haven't had a problem with black fondant coloring mouths. Black bc, yes, but fondant, no.
I've always wondered about this myself. At my dd's bridal shower there were the darkest green leaves on each square serving of cake. I looked across the room at my mother in law, where she was chatting away, and her lips, tongue and teeth were forest green. I could hardly hold up my end of the conversation I was in after that. The hostess felt awful, but hey it happens. I just don't eat detail stuff of high color.
Another "warning" of black fondant. Not to be gross, but it will cause one to have an oddly green poo. I have kids, and they have eaten black fondant. You can think your child is sick if you did not know they ate it. I tried to put it as delicately as possible, but I have warned parents to not be too alarmed if that happens.

Thanks for telling us that. I'm glad that I know that I don't have to rush to the doctor with my son when he eats his cake with black fondant!

Hmm....me either. leahs- do you color your own or used precolored?
Thanks for all of your input! I think just to be safe, I'm going to take Coffeecake's suggestion and make the customer a sample cake, so I know she's be satisfied. Thanks also to ctorno...for the info. and for making me giggle!
When I read the question, Cotrno, You and I obviously had the same first thought! This "poo" trivia is best shared with customers, young and OLD!
