Can anyone tell me how to frost a "chocolate" easter bunny cookie with chocolate instead of royal icing. I've only ever used RI and have no experience frosting a cookie with chocolate. I want it to look really smooth too. What products, techniques do you use? Thanks to anyone who can help!!

i dip the cookie when using chocolate, or you can pour the chocolate over the cookie, put it on a wire rack to harden, and just tap the rack on the counter to get the chocolate to smooth out

What kind of chocolate do you use though? Do you just melt a milk chocolate candy bar, chocolate chips or what?

I just use coating chocolate, the stuff that doesn't need tempering, usually merkins
