How Do I Make Even Fondant Balls For My Cake Border

whenever i make fondant balls or beads the sizes are uneven, they still look nice but i have seen some perfect ones and i do not know how they get them perfectly round, thanks.
My Wilton teacher said to roll the fondant out evenly and use a tip or tiny cutter to make even shapes then roll the shapes into balls.
You could:
1. weight them or
2. roll out with pasta machine and then cut out with a tip or a cutter.
i use a round frosting tip to cut them and then roll them in the palm of my hands (dont use your fingers). http://www.earlenescakes.com/prlinstruct.htm
I've done what mommy2kae does. I roll out the fondant evenly. Then, I use a circle cutter to cut out multiple cirles of exactly the same size. Then, I roll them in my hands. They should be the same size.
I have just bought from FMM i think, a bead maker, but they IMO are not that easy to use but the beads all come out in a row the same size

thank u all so much,i think rolling and using the round cutter sounds easiest.thanks again
