Oh, My Goodness! I finally got through! I have been trying to log onto CC since 7 AM! Thank you, Jackie and Heath, for getting the site working well enough for me to get in!

I could be wrong, but I think the idea is that she chooses who the next challenger is, and then goes up against her/him.
I'm thrilled with the work that both contestants submitted, and I am so glad that I promised to Not vote, as it would have been a very difficult choice for me. So many people stated that it was hard for them to choose, which tells me that the quality of the work displayed was highly respected and appreciated.
Thanks to all who participated in the voting, and thanks to the contestants for providing us with such a great contest.

Well for one thing...... I am not the winner...maybe by some votes but let me tell you... If it weren't for Lea posting to my sob story about not being in the mood to make another chickie duckie cake for easter then I would of never done it...and she got me wanting to try something different... I love her for that... so with that... I am passing my win to her... I want her to challenge someone.. take my place because in my eyes she is awesome and deserves all the glory
I know this will sound goofy and maybe a little babyish but I truly deserve nothing...because of the beautiful people of CC and their wonderful works I would of never been able to even halfway TRY to make the gp roses or anything else (I know my roses don't look like roses lol)
So please Lea please take my challenge and challenge someone more worthy then me... because you rock my friend... in my eyes you are a rose

Lea, let me say to you dear friend....I enlarge the pic of your cake (didn't know it was yours at the time), and your roses are outstanding on your cake. I love the deep blue color of the them, they are stunning!!
I feel that you both made beautiful cakes and I would be very happy to have gotten either one of them. I look forward to seeing the next TD, this has been fun! Again, WTG to the both of you!

Christi, your words are so touching and mean the world to me!!!! However, your cake won by the votes of our CC peers and that is that!! I feel you should have won!! For first time gumpaste roses YOUR CAKE WAS VERY VERY WELL DONE and you should be EXTREMELY proud of your work!!
Yes, your boredom with chickies and duckies and being down in the dumps over no ideas for an Easter cake is indeed what possessed me to challenge you to start with and all I have to say is MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Your creative juices really flowed and you have proved much to yourself. For that I am very satisfied and happy in my heart.

Grannys3Angels, thank you for your comment on my roses. My picture was not very good and I had a closeup of the top which better showed the cross and the roses but it did not get posted with the original picture. I will attach it here so you can better see what the top looked like.

Lea, when I saw this close up of the roses, it just about knock me out of my chair. As I said before, they are stunning! Also would like to say I hope & pray, you and your DD are both doing and feeling better.
