Decorating By irish_eyes_076 Updated 23 Mar 2008 , 5:24pm by felecia
Hi Everyone,
I'm VERY new to cake decorating but I've fallen in love! I'm attempting a cupcake bouqet to take to easter dinner tomorrow night...
I've got it all ready (the pot, the styrofoam ball, cupcakes are baked ect)
I just need to know how (step by step!) to pipe a rosette on top of the cupcake to make it look nice? I'm afaid mine will only look like a swirl and not roses at all!!
Someone please help!
Thanks!
I haven't done any cc bouquets, but I have done cupcakes that had "roses" on top.

For these, I just piped a swirl with regular bc. Use tip#2D. Start at the center and just swirl in one motion to the outside edge. Then I used tip#252 and added a few leaves. They were a big hit. I think this is what you mean by "rosettes". HTH
Hi
What you need to do is go on www.wilton.com
then on the left hand side of the screen you want
Decorating Techniques - then - Basic Decorating Tech - then -- under the heading - Buttercream - scroll down until you find rosette. Good instructions and pictures.
Hope this helps
i use tip 1M...the first time i did them they looked kinda sick...but just playing with it a couple of times they came out really really nice. i love doing these now. you can see one on my website or on here
